
A tool for monitoring and certification of cities, a handbook for building the positive city. The
proposes and grades strategies, guidelines and actions that lead to the construction of the positive city.
The goal of the
is to achieve a balanced relation between the habitat and the inhabitant, an equilibrium between man, his actions, and the physical space he inhabits.
The
divides the grades in two big blocks, giving 50 points to each one. All grading parameters are organized following the same structure. Each section presents some intentions, offers action guidelines and establishes an evaluation.
01. Physical scenario
LANDSCAPE SYSTEM: Analyzes the implementation in the territory and the responsible use of natural resources and landscapes.
INFRASTRUCTURAL SYSTEM: Assesses the efficient distribution of the infrastructure of the city as well as the accessibility to services and equipment.
URBAN SYSTEM: Assesses the quality and quantity of public spaces in the city as well as the architecture, its usage and energy efficiency.
02. Socioeconomic scenario
SOCIAL SYSTEM: Assesses the quality of urban life and the degree of community involvement, and the facilities and services offered by the city.
ECONOMIC SYSTEM: Assesses the local economy and all its sectors.
By applying the

Report
One time application. Shows a general overview of the city, at the time of its application, grading and granting the appropriate certification.
Monitoring
Long term application. For a minimum period of 5 years, keeps track of the city that decides to implement the measures recommended by the
, improving the grade obtained initially and reaching higher certifications.
Urban consulting
In detail application. Plans, strategies and projects that serve to improve the city and get closer to the ideal of the positive city.
