POP LAB is a new research lab, to develop new solutions based on the technology of prefabrication and prestressed concrete. Prototypes of Prefabrication Lab is a new space for researchers interested in prestressed concrete, a material that shows no limits, since every year its technology faces greater challenges, improving its qualities and taking its possibilities even further.

POP LAB is the perfect framework for emerging ideas and projects. POP LAB works on every quality of the material, from enhancing the material’s structural capacities, to studying the possibilities of its aesthetic qualities. Prestressed concrete is one of the most versatile construction materials; POP LAB takes advantage of the freedom enabled by it to create a research group as fluid and solid as the material itself.

POP LAB produces two lines of investigation:

				Prototypes Of Prefabrication Research projects that develop architectonic and urban construction systems, generating new spaces, typologies and uses.
				Documents Of the City Research projects that develop urban and financial consultancy and planning tools, as well as their practical applications, that aim to provide cities with evaluations and measures to help them arrive to a balanced relation between the habitat and the inhabitant, between man, his activities and the environment in which he lives.
